This will hopefully be done by Murchisonellidae expert Anders Warén (Naturhistoriska Riksmuseet in Stockholm). According to him it is a new, undescribed species. Same species was found in an estuary on west-coast of Netherland in 2016. Finnish and Dutch samples have been sent to Anders Warèn for species description. |

Comments: First year 2013 in Finland the observed densities were up to 500 individuals but next year they have been up to 4000 individuals per square meter. All the observations of the species have been found in the vicinity of Port of Hamina and adjacent area. Habitat is rocky bottom, in 1,5 – 5 meters depth. In the Netherland (Krammer-Volkerak)estuary the habitat was sandy bottom. |
