ICES CM 2013/ACOM:30. 149 pp. Comments: A paper by Hanson, Hiraldo and Valdés (2013) has confirmed the presence of an opisthobranch mollusk with a large non-indigenous range, Haminoea japonica, in the North of France. Two specimens were collected in 2003 and identified with a DNA barcoding approach. This species is a vector for a parasite that causes the human skin disease cercarial dermatitis, and may have negative effects on populations of native species. |
