Species | Oncorhynchus gorbuscha | |
Date of the first record (?) | 1973 References (not structured): Went AEJ (1974) Some interesting fishes taken in Irish waters in 1973. Irish Naturalists' Journal 18 (3): 57-56. Comments: A single fish captured in 1973. |

Source region (?) | Unknown References (not structured): Petryashov VV, Chernova NV, Denisenko SG, Sundet JH (2002) Red king crab (Paralithodes camtschaticus) and pink salmon (Oncorhynchus gorbuscha) in the Barents Sea. In: Leppakoski E, Gollash S, Olenin S (eds), Invasive aquatic species of Europe: distribution, impacts and management. Kluwer Academic Publishers, Dordrecht, The Netherlands, pp 147-152. Comments: In the 1940s eyed-eggs were introduced to rivers in the region of the Barents and White seas. During during 1967–75, pink salmon were again introduced into White and Barents Sea rivers. It is possible that vagrant fish from these stocking efforts explain the occurrence in Irish waters. |
Pathway / Vector (?) | Level of certainty: Possible Pathway: Culture activities Vector: Unintentional release & escapees (Culture activities) Comments: Most probably vagrant fish. |

There are no further records since these two accounts during the period 1960-1969. It is not established or currently present in Irish waters. |
