Coastal Research and Planning Institute of Klaipeda University organizes traditional international student conference.

First announcement (pdf)

The objective of the Conference is to enable young researchers to present and discuss results of their researches. This multidisciplinary conference covers various aspects of marine environmental research: from molecular ecology of aquatic organisms, biodiversity and functioning of the plankton and benthos communities to the modeling of the ecosystem processes. Also the socio-economic and coastal zone management studies are welcome. This forum stimulates the mobility and research cooperation of young scientists.

The previous four international events attended by students from 12 countries who presented the results of 167 scientific studies in oral and poster sessions. During the conferences well–known specialists from Lithuania and other countries - dr. Kæstutis Arbaciauskas, dr. Raliv Zellev, dr. Darius Daunys, prof. Frederik Wulff, prof. Jan Marcin Weslawski, prof. Sergej Olenin, prof. Mike Elliot had been prepared the lectures and interactive sessions for students.

There are accepted 50 Bachelor’s, Master’s Degree and Ph.D. students from 11 different countries in the final list of participants for 2010 Conference. Therefore, Prof. Pauline Snoeijs from Department of Systems Ecology, Stockholm University, and Dr. Yuri Kantor, A. N. Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution, Russian Academy of Sciences, are coming as invited speakers. Thanks to our supporters we will be able to provide accommodation and meals for all participants!

Conference fee

No conference fee.

Language

English (during the sessions), any (during the student party).

Visa

The organizers are going to take troubles of preparations of Visa documents (for students who are from non-EU countries).
